One of the most beautiful road trips in Kosovo links Pristina with Prizren, Peja and Gjakova. With a rental car you take this route at your own pace, stopping wherever you like. Here is our recommended itinerary.
Pristina → Prizren (~75 km)
Prizren, Kosovo's museum city, is about 75 km from Pristina, roughly 1 hour by motorway. Don't miss the Prizren Fortress, the Stone Bridge and the old quarters full of cafés.
Prizren → Peja (~70 km)
From Prizren continue to Peja. Nearby are the Patriarchate of Peja and the entrance to the Rugova Gorge – one of the most spectacular landscapes, ideal for an SUV.
Peja → Gjakova (~40 km)
Gjakova is known for its Grand Bazaar, one of the oldest in the Balkans. The roads are comfortable and distances short, perfect for a full day.
