Rental Terms

The following terms apply to all rentals through Pristina Rent a Car. We share every condition clearly from the start so your experience is surprise-free and reliable. For questions, our 24/7 support line is open.

Payment

All payments are made at vehicle handover in cash (Euro) or by card. No online payment, no credit card hold, no bank transfer. Displayed prices include VAT and contain no hidden fees; the amount at handover is clear.

Driver and age

The driver must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driving licence. Licences from Kosovo, Albania, the EU, Germany and Switzerland are accepted for touristic rental, with no translation needed. For higher classes, SUVs or luxury, a higher age or a licence held for 1–2 years may be required.

Required documents

At handover, simply present your valid driving licence and passport/ID. For airport handover, please share your flight number in advance.

Deposit

A reasonable deposit may be taken at handover depending on the vehicle class. It is a clear, pre-stated amount and is fully refunded when the car is returned undamaged, clean and at the contracted fuel level.

Mileage limit

A daily mileage limit applies and is more than enough for a normal trip. If exceeded, the contractual extra-km rate applies. For long routes (Prizren, Peja, Brezovica) you can request a high/unlimited km option in advance.

Fuel policy

The fair full-to-full principle applies: you collect with a full tank and return with a full tank. If fuel is missing, only the missing amount and a reasonable service fee may be charged.

Insurance

All our cars are offered with the legally required third-party liability insurance. You can request additional cover for the car during booking. Details are clearly stated in the handover contract.

Cancellation and changes

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup. As we take no prepayment, we offer flexibility for plan changes. After your request is confirmed, our team contacts you.

Pickup and return

Pickup and return at the "Adem Jashari" International Airport (PRN) and an agreed point within Pristina and its surroundings. We also meet you on late-night and delayed flights; we track your flight.

Border crossing (outside Kosovo)

Trips to Albania or North Macedonia require a green card / cross-border insurance. Please tell us about any planned border crossing in advance so we can prepare the right documents. Some destinations may need extra approval.

Traffic fines and use

Traffic fines, road tolls and parking penalties incurred during the rental are the driver's responsibility. The car may only be used by the persons named in the contract and in accordance with traffic rules. Smoking is not recommended; a cleaning fee may apply.
